Merry Christmas from our critters!

We would like you to meet Sparkle! She was my mom’s cat that she got last year at Christmas time and named her Sparkle because she loved anything that sparkled. When my mom passed away in July we decided to bring her to live with us. She has adapted very well and is the best mouser you could ever imagine! She also takes care of the mole and rabbit population that tormented our garden and fruit trees before she got here.

This is Lucky. We brought her home November 2018 when she was rescued by my father-in-law. She was so very little when she came to us that we thought she was quite young like 8 weeks old. Turns out that lived as a barn cat for her first 2-3 years and her doctor says she lived a very hard life as she was actually over 2 years old, had ovarian cysts, broken teeth and sores on her nose that would probably never quite heal up. She has adapted to indoor life very well and is still learning that people are nice and that the food is plentiful and that she doesn’t have to eat it all. She is my girl 🙂

And of course we can’t forget our Dutch! Our boy is getting old but still does a good job at protecting us all and keeping the wild critters away.
